Our vision at Trinity is to see the Church on Fire and the City Alive and our heart in the Emerging Generations is aligned with that, in the form of lifelong discipleship in our families.  We would love to help create a self sustaining community of families who enjoy being with God and connecting with him in the ordinariness of everyday life.

Our Prayer Wall at Trinity Kids

Creating a Prayer Wall at Home

Could you write names or pictures of people to pray for on your fridge or write prayer requests on a whiteboard. Sticky notes are great to write personal prayer requests, you could choose 1 person/prayer from the wall each day to pray after you’ve had dinner. Don’t forget to add your answered prayers onto the wall together and celebrate each of those.

Lectio 365 for Families is FREE to download, It features daily Bible readings, a weekly memory verse, engaging questions to pause and talk about, and prompts for reflection and prayer.

Have you shared your story of faith with your kids? Why not get your kids to ask these questions:

1) What is God doing in your life right now?

2) How do you speak with God and how does God speak to you?

3) What are you praying for at the moment?

For Parents/Guardians

The Chosen is a multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus, it begins to capture the kindness, grace, peace, joy and wisdom of Jesus. This is a short scene of Jesus interacting with the children, watch and ask yourself ‘What makes this encounter meaningful’.

Chat & Catch

Chat, Talking to God

  • Your favourite colour

  • What you ate for lunch today

  • Tell God a joke

  • How you are feeling today

Great, well done! My challenge to you is to chat to God during the day….remember he is with you and wants to hear all you have to say. Now what is really great about our God is that he chats back to us!

Now let’s see if we can catch what God is chatting back to us. You can stay laying/sitting as before, or with older kids you could have paper and pens/crayons to write of draw what they feel God is saying.

Let’s ask God a question and get ready to catch his answer.

    Catch what God says

    • Show me how much you love me

    • Why did you give me my name?

    • Tell me something new?

Remember God speaks to us in lots of different ways, you may have a picture pop into your mind, a song, a bible verse/story, something in the room may stand out, you may hear his voice, you may feel full of peace, love, joy etc.

A thought for the day from Rachel Turner who leads the Parenting For Faith Course!

What does it mean for God to be a way maker? Do you need God to make a way for you in friendships, school, sleep etc. Talk to Jesus about it.

Can you make some actions together as a family? Kate would love to see them!
